It is made up of many tribes now intermixed. Originally the celts lived and their memory and blood lines remains especially in Wales and Ireland. The Romans invaded and took over most of the Southern half of Uk then the Normans won a section and the Vikings won the North and spread out. |
The celts lived in small communities and villages. They were an oral culture with bards that travelled around playing music and telling important stories. Others were experienced in the healing arts such as Ogham tree law some of these were druids and were responsible for sacred law. Others were weavers dyers farmers blacksmiths potters and mothers |

Often referred to as the Native Americans or American Indians however the over 300 tribes vary in different languages have different customs and live in different areas of the country |
Much more than can be listed here. These tribes believe the land is for supporting all of us that it belongs to no one and that we all must care for it. The tribes originally followed a moon calendar provided for their needs including medicinal food and shelter within 20 miles of their homes and work as one vs as an individual. Their prayers and ceremonies are for all not for individual needs. None of the treaties that have been made with the US Government and The Native Peoples have been kept---not a single one. Most tribes have been removed in the course of the US history from their original homelands and taken to new 'reservations' often leading to the decline of its peoples |

In my area there are Caddo and Adai nations now known together as Caddo-Adai. There are many different nations some that are almost completely lost to history. |
Each Native American" nation had different languages customs laws and cultural aspects. Most valued alliance with nature and with the people within their clans and tribes. Also most did not claim land as a thing that could be owned though many nations did settle in particular areas and dispute territories. Europeans claimed lands to own when they came over and drove native americans out of the lands the Europeans wanted to own. Now many native americans have either married and assimilated into USA culture or they live on reservations that are theoretically "sovereign" territories. This means it is slightly more difficult (not very) for the US government to interfere with tribal issues and it precludes those living on reservations from receiving much of the basic needs assistance given to other poverty stricken citizens. This of course is an abridged and simplified perspective. " |

They belong to many different families or clans. Among the most important ones are the As Saidi's (the Royal family of Sultan Qaboos) Al Kindi's Al Hajri's Al Qarni's but there are many others. Very important is the huge family of the Al Belushi's who descend from 18th century immigrants from Baluchistan (Iran). Worth mentioning are also all the Swahili people from Tanzania (especially Zanzibar an ex colony). In general the Omanis are a relatively homogeneous society and the longest-standing independent country in the Gulf since the Portuguese domination in the 14th century. |

Cree Blackfoot Huron Metis Mohawk... there are 600 tribes known to date.... |
I know not much about them. |
Anonymous from Canada |
To answer this question properly I would have to write several volumes. There are many indigenous peoples in Canada separated into 3 major groupings: Inuit Metis and first nations. First nations is a bit of catch all category for all indigenous peoples who are not Metis or Inuit. The first nations include the Cree Blackfoot Iroquois |
Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world. There are over 600 individual recognized tribes with their own distinct cultures languages and traditions. Some of these tribes are related but many are completely unrelated to one another. |

Native Americans of which there have been and still are many nations or tribes. |
Many were hunter-gatherers some cultivated. They lived in closer communion with nature and natural cycles without proclivity to control such. Overrun by seemingly endless European-lineage settlers who would presume to 'own' the land Native Americans would eventually lose most of their habitat way of life and their freedom to live in accordance with their own laws and traditions. |

They were forced off all of the fertile land onto reservations". These reservations are barren and infertile. They source of food and clothing was destroyed( buffalo) for sport and greed. They are commonly referred to as Indians" but the real name for them is "Native Americans". The reason they are called that is because when Christopher Columbus arrived in America he thought he was in India so he called them "Indians". By calling them "Indians" he was wrong but we can see where the misunderstanding happened." |
Many of them were eliminated during the years that Andrew Jackson was president because he believed that we were better than they were. He moved them to reservations out in Oklahoma. The cruel thing about moving them was he made them walk the whole way and many of them died on the infamous walk to Oklahoma known as The Trail of Tears"." |
