Playing has become my stress reliever as of late especially. playing calms me like nothing else. whenever I'm stressed I play and play and I get so involved with it I go into almost like a trace and I forget about my stress. I've only been playing for about 5 months now but ever since I learned to circular breathe I have been playing every day to get to that calm state and I love it. |

When I can get into a meditative groove it helps centre me like a refreshing meditation experience. Sound is good but I'd imagine better if I got a good real didge. |

Playing immediately brings me into a state of calm and it always makes me smile. In addition I feel little bits of dream-images flitting through my mind when I play -- most agreeable -- and my dreaming at night has also improved. |

It centers me. I channel my emotions through playing so I can be calm and loving or aggressive and angry it gets it out into the air. I find guitar does this as well but it is a little less physical due to the benefits of oxygenating the blood etc. |

Playing serves as a very deep meditation practice: there's the pranayama aspect of playing that calms the mind and frees it from the normal clutter that clogs it. To me along with with my buddhist and yogic practices playing the didj has always been a very important part of my meditation training. |

Our mind has a own frequency of about 15-16 Hz. That is the first harmonic of the Schumann Frequency" or Earth Frequency of 7.83 Hz. Every harmonic of this frequency can be produced by a didgeridoo and that is the reason why it has a huge effect on your mind. Just because it is on the same frequency level. 5 x 16 Hz is 80 Hz and is the same frequency you can produce with your own voice lying in the sarcophagus inside the Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Egypt. The sound of about 80 Hz is a very important feature of Aboriginal initiation ceremonies. There is a very interesting link between the instruments people used 12000 years ago all over the world but the most important link is between the sarcophagus in the Kings Chamber and the base drone of the didgeridoo. For many years now I am investigating these sounds. A very old Egyptian wisdom keeper Abd El Hakim Awyan was always saying: "It is all about Sound"." |
