The name "Aboriginal" means basically the original. I did not know this until recently reading the history on Aboriginal people. Years ago I watched the movie "Quigley Down Under" and was completely saddened on how Aboriginal people were abused by our Western society. Consider the following hypothesis: That which we fear most about ourselves we tend to destroy in others. Based on this maybe it is the Western society who is uncivilized in term of their thinking especially if used to justify the slaughter of our original ancestors and culture. |

The Aborigines don't manufacture didgeridoos just for monetary gain. It is a spiritual tool used by Australia's indigenous people crafted out of all natural materials. Westerners can look to Aboriginal people as an example of those who are not strictly manufacturing items cheaply for capitalist gain.
