I had a motorcycle accident 3 years ago and I used to sit out the front of my parents house and play the didge to a family of magpies the mother would sit on the fence in front of me whilst to my right the father would keep close watch on me and the youngling would sit at the bottom of the didge and sing as I played (sometimes it would stick its head up the bell and see where the sound was coming from) I still play there at times now and the flock has gotten bigger and the new younglings sometimes come and sing next to my didge |

I am new to playing the didgeridoo and have just learned the circular breathing technique. I do not have a problem holding a note for up to 10 minutes. I am currently working on combining my rhythm and circular breathing techniques. |

Wow It is like nothing else I have ever experienced. By the end I feel like I have just woken up from the best dream I've ever had. Euphoric comes to mind. |

I'm only thirteen and just started because we have learned about Australian culture at school. On my didj you can't get the real feeling because I had to fashion mine out of PVC pipe and electrical tape. |

There was a place where I lost consciousness for a long period of time. I was really awake but I don't remember anything. I guess I might have been semiconscious. The only things I can remember were shapes and colors. I felt light like I was floating. I liked the feeling a lot which is why I played so long. It's only happened to me once |

I only have been circular breathing for a month but sat down one night and simply droned for about half and hour while reading a book. It was hard at first but it became pretty much second nature soon enough. |

I live on the other side of the planet. I made my first didgeridoo by myself. Now I'm making progress in playing and I enjoy it. I can do the circular breathing but it took me years to get there. Today I could do a traditional toot sound (with low pressure). I'm filing on the rhythms and the sounds and try to combine them with the breathing. |

I have to say my encounters with the didgeridoo have been brief. I have had the joy of sitting down with one just recently and found that making the sound was not as challenging as I would have first thought although sustaining the sound for long periods of time proved challenging. |

Trance like Dreamtime. I was breathing and it was like I was a fish under an ocean floating; the deep drone sound was like the water...many other experiences too while vision questing in the wilderness by the pacific ocean on the west side of vancouver island. |

Circular breathing is like timed breathing once you get a good rhythm going you can play for as long as you can stand it. |

It's almost trance-like. I was sitting on my porch with my dog and I had just decided to see how long I could play for. I probably could have gone for longer but a large amount of saliva had built up and my chops were getting tired. I was really just testing myself to my limits. I think I could go longer. |

Its a calming experience playing for a long time. I often play if I've had a stressful day. it feels like I'm in a dream and nothing else is around. |

I choose a didge and warm it up once I warm up my didge and get the feel of it (as each didge I own has it's own strengths and quirk's) I get into a groove and play the drones and rhythms I have learnt then a period of quiet playing usually a soft drone to relax myself followed by a period of pure power jam any noise I can make. I like to finish on a high.my favourite didge for this is a bloodwood c# I find it can be played quiet and it has a nice blast at the end. I usually play for 20 to 30 min each night. |

Like any instrument it's a great experience that can be barely explained by phrases like "in the pocket" "in the zone" though these are the best words I can find to describe the experience. |

I start to vibrate after a few minutes. my whole self is recognized as vibration. after about 20-30 minutes I loose most thoughts and fall into the meditative state. the time is compressed. between the single sounds there is very much space I inhabit consciously. when I listen to it afterwards I feel the space in between there but live on a different time-scale |
