It makes you focus on your breath. Complete focus and presence. It's just like doing some pranayama:). I think focusing on ones breath is one of the single most underestimated things one can do for their health. The constant drone and rhythmic pulses I believe are good in helping ones entire system relax and de-stress. |

Resonates deep within. Vibrates joint pain away. And some times it makes me laugh which is always good for the soul. |

The circular breathing is a very effective form of pranayama but it's not only the breathing technique. The sound vibration is a very complete experience and the effect is a pretty hard one to describe. There's no way to miss it though - you play any longer than 15 minutes and come tell me there's no effect you're flat out _lying_. I find it very hard to believe people wouldn't notice the effect playing has on you. I have also received didj healing - a friend was kind enough to play didj for my back cramps. They didn't heal completely from the playing but it certainly eased my being a whole lot and made me feel very well. |

As I also surf it has helped with being able to hold my breath longer under water expansion of my lungs exercising the diaphragm in a way that it wouldn't normally get exercised as well as breathing techniques that has helped with my singing (not much of a singer though!) |

I investigate the 'sound temples' from Ancient Egypt. The Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid (Egypt) has very special acoustic properties. It resonates very easily on very low frequencies (20 to 30 Hz). This has a very special effect on people in this chamber because it resonates with your own frequency. That is why I want to play a good low frequency didgeridoo because in my opinion it will bring you in a state of mind that the aboriginal people call Dreamtime". Wherever you go and visit ancient sites you will always find a connection to sound and low frequency sound in particular and it is my ultimate dream to play a very low base drone inside the Kings Chamber in the Great Pyramid. I know from my own research that the whole chamber is capable of resonating on low frequencies in the vicinity of 20-30 Hz. The frequency of the sarcophagus in the Kings Chamber is resonating on a frequency of about 82 Hertz. Playing the didgeridoo in the Kings Chamber must be a very exciting experience and that is the main reason for me to learn to play the didgeridoo. The sound in the Kings Chamber is linked to the sound of very old instruments capable of producing low frequency sounds like the didgeridoo the Tibetan Horn the Swiss Alp horn singing of Tibetan monks. It was used for meditation and has a healing effect on people." |
