It is one of the few sounds I have ever found that really reaches inside of me. When my friend brought a didj back from Australia (a real one; mind you); I could not get enough playing time in. In essence; the sound of a nice didj is satisfying down to my core and allows me to release all my stresses and negative emotions. |

Trancelike. I was in a nightclub once where some really annoying techno music had just finished and the live band started with a solo didj. The whole club stopped and listened. It was mesmerizing. I would love to give one a try. My family is musical; but none of us have ever tried or owned a didjeridu. |

As a 'non- aboriginal' Australian living abroad; the sound instills a deep sense of my homeland; a connection to the Aboriginal people; their culture; history and nature itself. An amazing sense of pride when people immediately associate the sound with Australia. Some people turn to alcohol after a hard day. I turn to my didj! I find it extremely de-stressing and relaxing. It can uplift my mood when I'm feeling down or if I'm already feeling good; it rewards my good feelings with a musical interpretation of my upbeat mood. Discovering the didj was amongst the best things to ever happen to me; it's a pity it took me 43 years to discover it ! |

I enjoy playing my didjeridu at night outdoors. I try to find a peaceful place where I am separated from the modern world and am surrounded by nature. When I feel like it is the right time to play my didjeridu I just play whatever comes to mind and I try to make up as many sounds as possible. I find it a very good way to relax and I always feel content and at peace with myself and my surroundings when I play. My didjeridu is homemade and I take pride in it every time I play; my music is my own and I love the spiritual feeling of playing the didjeridu. |

When I play the didj; I feel warm and peaceful. The sound can purify my soul. I cannot live without it. So I play it everyday. I don't think myself as a musician; but I do perform in many places. In Taiwan; nobody can play the didj. I think I am the only one can do that; so I perform in many different places to introduce it to more Taiwanese people. Usually people look at me with incredible looks. I quite enjoy those kind of looks. I think didjs are not easy for girls to play; but I can do it. It makes me feel special. And I think I got a gift. After 5 days; I already can do circular breathing. I learn it by myself; and I am very proud of that. |
