Relaxation... It's very stimulating to focus on complex tonge movements and vocals. I've noticed recently that the crack in my voice inbetween mid-high freq. is gone! After I stop playing my energy centers are very open.... The door is open to deep meditation. It feels so comfortable after a few didj overtones. |

The hauntingly wonderful musical tone of the didj has always captivated me.It's uninterrupted sound reflects the endless nature of Eternity. I have always wanted to have a didj of my own that I could play which could be good enough for me to pass down to my children if I have any. The didj takes my listening to a primordial stage of existance. I feel at one with nature when I am listening to the didj. |

I really like the rhythms played in contemporary didj playing where the didj is used as a percussive instrument but I find that nothing beats the NE Arnhem Land didj playing. I am always gobsmacked by the sound. My husband recently did sound for the Festival of Humanity in Melbourne he had it rigged up perfectly so that the didgeridoo filled the room with a sound so rich and warm you wanted to curl up inside it. the dijeridoo I find is a sweet escape sometimes when playing for around 6-8 minutes if concentrated enough on the rhythms and sounds its almost like I get lost. One time I felt like everything completely dissapeared it was an exhilirating experience the sounds u can produce out of these instruments blow me away when executing an animal sound it aklmost roars out of the didge like its alive |

The sound strikes a deep resonance in my soul in a way matched only by the sounds of nature. I should add that I consider the didjeridu to be our national instrument and one of our greatest gifts to the world. |

first I like many ways of how the didge can be played as well the traditional way as some modern ways like "grooving didge". Playing didgeridoo loads me with energy and touches my heart. It also can calm me down and have an anti-stressing effect on me." |
Sergio Ricardo Guizzardi from Brazil |
I dont have one |
Shunt Solakian from Australia |
the didge I currently have wether on purpose or not was designed to play fast and I have a tendency to appreciate ambient more than fast rythmical stuff but generally the didge when played in the more ambient format is like a zoning out. if played well its like painting a picture and losing urself in it. id describe the didge as sounds rather than music. Like a buddhist chant. Like muslim prayers over loud speakers. so I guess u could simply say its very spiritual(whatever that means). I think it means ur touched or moved by it. one day I hope I can too have the poetry in my head and translate it through the didge. |

Fascinating sound. After purchasing a didj (made of PVC) at a local "Renaissance Festival" I started researching and practicing. I should have the circular breathing down sometime soon. Listening and learning to play really is a relaxing experience. I play a CD of some traditional Aboriginal music both to just listen and to hear the diversity of sounds a good player can make." |
