I learned to circular breathe on the oboe. My teacher told me to use it carefully because in her experience the audience breathes when the performer does. So it might make people uncomfortable or hold their own breath. I tried it on my PVC piece with no mouthpiece and I was still able to do it. |

I zone out. Closed eyes tapping my feet rolling my head my hand starts moving to the beat. I feel lightness in my chest. I start to create natural beats without thought. |

I don't often do it - "just because you can doesn't mean you should" as the man said. I can get lightheaded at times not unpleasant. After a while it can be difficult to know if I need to breathe in or out - and sometimes I have to let air out while I am playing - reverse circular breathing? I have never had any mystical experience. |

Getting into 'spiritual' consciousness. A feeling of oneness with the didgeridoo and All That Is an experience that the didge and I are one an instrument being played. |

I am a beginner and I find it difficult to go on blowing for long periods of time but I am improving. I just try different ways of playing which breaks off the sound. Fir examp^le when I use my voice I just forget to use circular breathing and I have to stop. A few months ago although I knew how to circular breathe I couldn't play for a long time but I know I can do it now provided I mainly concentrate on playing the drone. After a while I just want to try some other sounds and then the sound can break off by lack of air but it's very good fun to try other sounds. |

Trying made me dizzy but I think that's because I was trying to play like a trumpet not like a raspberry. I'll try again - thanks for your FAQs! |

I was in a couple of bands and they had 1 to try. It was fun but hard work. I tried to play them like a tuba. Similar to when I was in grade school band. |

To play a didj with circular breathing is really hard! But even if perfection takes a good amount of time you can still learn it quite well if you just go for it. After two weeks I managed to play continuously for almost 3 minutes it's maybe not very much but fun as hell! |

I really enjoy playing the didgeridoo for long periods of time. While I may repeat the same rhythms over and over it is still quite relaxing to sit outside and experiment. I like to play for 10-15 minutes continuously and then pause to think and listen to the sounds around me. I usually play in these short spurts for about an hour or until my lips swell too badly. |

I haven't played for a long time yet but I am excited to start. I have been interested for years and finally a couple of nights ago I watched Michael Marsolek of the Drum Brothers playing a didj and said OK I'm making one now. |

I can relate to the didj because I played the trombone for 8 years though I've stopped playing. With my didj I love sitting with my friends playing to the beat of their djembe or bongos. The tingling sensation in my my lips and face is an exhilarating feeling I crave since I first picked up a didj |

As yet I can only maintain the drone for a relatively short time although playing with breaks for an hour or so. With out doubt this is always uplifting (clears the head and opens the heart) and often transporting. |

It was the fall solstice. I went to my favorite hill in Calgary lit a circle of incense sticks around me and let the vibes just flow feeling them in the ground hearing them in the air and freaking out people walking by who couldn't even tell where the sound was coming from. |

Every time I play I learn something new I really feel like I could spend all my time with playing didgeridoo. I really enjoy it and really would meet an aborigine who shows me how to play the didgeridoo and tells me some tricks. |
