I am aware that traditional style is tied to aboriginal culture which is tied to the land in Australia. I just play what feels good. Classifying music is not easy for me.

Playing styles vary between different regions of Northern Australia and often involve fast complex rhythms with sounds created by intricate tongue work. Contemporary is something other than traditional.

These rhythms hold much cultural importance and are often used in ceremony. Contemporary styles are typically played by non-aboriginal people and have less of an indigenous cultural heritage than traditional playing styles.
