The Sioux Cherokee Blackfoot Inuit and hundreds of other tribes. |
They lived in harmony with the environment and tried to live in harmony with each other. They did not waste anything that they had to kill they took care of each other like a big family and they lived a hardworking peaceful life until the English "discovered" their land and forced them to accept a god that they have never heard of in a language they had no hope of understanding. The English settlers "invaders" took advantage of the indigenous people telling them they would buy the land from them for things that had no real value. The natives thought nobody owned the world so they could trick the foolish invaders and get some cool beads and supplies. Then when they didn't move out of the land they "sold" they were rounded up and massacred everywhere they were found. |

Native Americans include the Wampanoag Cheyenne Sioux Navajo and Cherokee Tribes. |
They were pushed west ever since settlers from Europe arrived on the East Coast. Much land has been taken from them and many still live in poverty. The government has given them reservations of land to live on but it does not make up for the damage done. May tribes own large casinos on the reservations in order to try and get some money back from the white man. |

-The first natives lived in Canada 20000 years ago. -Many tribes had a deep spiritual connection to the earth and their surroundings. Canada and Australia share a dark history from when the colonialist came to their countries. The indigenous people of Canada were slowly assimilated or killed off. - Today many natives live in reservations many of which are in poor conditions. |

The native american tribes. There are too many to list here. |
I live in Oklahoma which was at one time designated as "Indian territory" by the government. Many of the tribes forced off their land were relocated to Oklahoma. Oklahoma is also the destination for the Five "civilized tribes". the Choctaw Chickasaw Cherokee Creek and Seminole. These tribes had for a period of time the best relations with the US government but in 1838 they were forced from their lands in the SE to Oklahoma. Their forced march their was one of many hardships and is known as the trail of tears. Native American history is something we are all taught as kids in Oklahoma so I could go on but I won't. |

They lived in wooden houses in or near the forests and cultivated plants for eating also they collected wild plants for eating and healing. They brewed beer and had animals like pigs and cows. They had wise men like the medicine men. Some women called Valkyries could ravel astrally. Often they had to fight for their land and freedom before their culture and religion was destroyed by Rome and later by the Christian Catholic Church |

Al-Tarabeen One of the largest tribes in Jordan and Israel. AlsoTuba-Zangariyye District North Government Local council (from 1988) Hebrew???????-??????????? Arabic?????????? Also spelled Tuba az-Zanghariyya (officially) Population 5 200 (2005) Area 1 962 dunams (1.962 km2; 0.758 sq mi) Founded in 1903 Tuba-Zangariyye or Tuba az-Zanghariyya (Arabic:??????????? Hebrew:???????-?????????????) is an Bedouin Arab local council in the North District of Israel. It was formed by the merger of the two villages of Tuba and az-Zangariyye. It is 8.5 kilometres (5.3 mi) east of Safed and 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the Golan Heights. It is about 250 meters above sea level. The villages were named after the Bedouin tribes 'Arab al-Zanghariyya and 'Arab al-Hayb who lived in tents near Ein Tuba (Tuba Spring). The nomads first lived in tent encampments and later settled villages. The village was established in 1903. Some Bedouins of Tuba had long standing ties with nearby Jewish communities. They helped defend these communities in the 19361939 Arab revolt in Palestine. During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War some Bedouins of Tuba formed an alliance with the Haganah defending Jewish communities in the Upper Galilee against Syria. Some were part of a Pal-Heib unit of the Haganah. Sheik Hussein Mohammed Ali Abu Yussef of Tuba was quoted in 1948 as saying "Is it not written in the Koran that the ties of neighbors are as dear as those of relations? Our friendship with the Jews goes back many years. We felt we could trust them and they learned from us too".[1] The two towns were captured by Haganah forces in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War on May 4 during a sub-operation of Operation Yiftach. Al-Zangariyye was virtually destroyed but Tuba was not attacked by Israeli forces and remained intact. Most of the inhabitants who fled the two villages prior to their captures moved eastward into Syria or in the case of many al-Zangariyye residents to Tuba[2] Remaining Bedouins lived in tent encampments until the 1960s. Tuba-Zangariyye achieved Local Council status in Israel in 1988[3]. The council is not elected but appointed. It is headed by former Israeli general Zvika Fogel who was appointed to the post by Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit in 2008.[4] |

They helped the first settlers survive the winter. They were sent to residential schools. They were forced onto reserves. Their traditional ways were taken from them. They suffer from high levels of abuse gangs low education rate alcoholism and drug abuse. They belief in animal spirits as guides. They honour their ancestors. They teach about balance through the medicine wheel/the four directions. They have spirit quests. They have medicine men and women who help others heal. They use sweat lodges for purification and healing. They do prayers and ceremonies with sacred plants drums rattles bone whistles songs and dancing. The words respect/non-interference come to mind. They experience time differently than most people. |

They are very spiritual people who have been through a horrendous history because of being misunderstood by the Early Europeans and up tot he present government. Their lands have been stolen they are often cheated of education and their American freedoms that many other people in the US enjoy. Music is part of their spiritual ritual as well as being in total harmony with the earth and all living things. |

Native Americans or American Indians |
They own a lot of casinos now; but were the original inhabitants which came from Asia across the land bridge that once conne ted Asia to North America during the ice age. They lived here until the spaniards came and then the white man who disrupted their way of life and in the end put them on reservations. These days most indian people live in relative poverty except the ones that own the casinos I mentioned already. But unfortunately these wealthy tribes do very little to help the poorer tribes. Greed. |

It is said their land was taken from them but they did not have the same concept of land ownership. I would say that their right to use the land as they had used it was taken away from them and they were killed and "reeducated" |

The indigenous peoples were composed of many nations of peoples who lived on the American continent |
The Europeans wanted the Indians land and resources. The indigenous were driven off their lands killed outright died from diseases for which they had no immunity. They were considered less intelligent by the invaders. Treaties the Europeans made with the natives were routinely broken. The Indians were forced to live in reservations that were located on lands that were (at the time) of no value to the Americans. They were promised autonomous reservations. This autonomy is to this day being challenged. |
