I'm gonna get a little weird here:I can loose myself in didj sounds; I can feel other animal-beats begin to pulse within me and want to emerge when I play - and listening to experienced circular breathers rejuvenates me. How can such an instrument be so captivating? It takes me somewhere. The didjeroo sound allows me to focus and disappear; and place me somewhere between peace and war - or rather calm and strong. I know it's just an instrument; but I think there's some spiritual and ritual element that effects me. |
