The didj produces a sound very unique tone. It has a strong hum of one note and produces harmonics that make it sound like bugs in the wild |

It reaches into the marrow-level of things beneath melody to a place of deeper longing deeper movement deeper impulse. It's primal it's raw it's more human than most modern instruments. It's gravelly it's low it has a pulse and physicality - many-layered wildly variable completely personal to every individual player! The sound of the didj is alive completely present haunting. |
