Gulpilil released from hospital after health scare

Extract from Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Online, on 12 February 2005

Northern Territory screen veteran David Gulpilil has been discharged from the Royal Darwin Hospital after collapsing in Stuart Park yesterday.

The hospital says Mr Gulpilil, who lives in Arnhem Land, was taken to the emergency department by ambulance for treatment.

He was released late last night.

Mr Gulpilil started his film career with "Walkabout" in 1971 and went on to star in another 14 films including "Crocodile Dundee" and "Rabbit Proof Fence".

He will also appear in the soon to be released film "The Proposition".
