Prominent Northern Territory Aboriginal leader Galarrwuy Yunupingu has criticised Federal, state and territory governments for taking Aboriginal issues off the agenda.

The outgoing chair of the Northern Land Council says federally, reconciliation is off the agenda and ATSIC is being demolished.

At a Territory level, Mr Yunupingu claims it was easier working with the previous CLP government than the present Labor Government.

"I think today's Government will happily see me out because they'll have a free rein," he said.
