New $1.5m health centre for Redfern

Extract from Australian Broadcasting Corporation - ABC Online, on 24 October 2004

A mobile needle exchange van operating in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern will be replaced by a local health centre, at a cost of $1.5 million.

The new health centre which will be located in Rawson St near the railway station, is expected to open early next year.

As well as a needle exchange program, the centre will provide rehabilitation programs for drug users.
