Community considers future for skeletal remains The Eurobodalla Aboriginal community is expected to take several weeks to decide the future of Aboriginal skeletal remains unearthed at Surfside Primary School near Batemans Bay. The skull and neck bones which pre-date European settlement were found when a trench for a water pipeline was being dug. The National Parks and Wildlife Service's Aboriginal Heritage unit manager, Gary Currey, says the bones are in storage at Narooma and are likely to be re-buried. |
