The Northern Territory's Tourist Commission says Aboriginal culture and heritage tours in Arnhem Land will be a major selling focus at an international trade show in Brisbane this month. The commission's Andrew Clark says Arnhem Land has the potential to attract a large overseas market. He says the region still faces several challenges, including preparing it for tourist demands. "They have to have a product that is open consistent days and consistent hours and is, I guess, what we call 'export ready'," Mr Clark said. "There're those challenges that are there locally and in other regions as well... but it is certainly a growing area." |
