I play drums in a band and have incorporated didge into my work love it.. I don't know I feel proud to sort of be a part of the indigenous culture even though I'm really not. I just respect it so much and want to always learn more about indigenous Australia. |

Kids need to learn what musical instruments are out there and the sounds that they make. |
Claudiu Oros from Romania |
Playing with others |
Because here in Romania not a lot of people have heard of the didgeridoo even though we have an instrument called the bucium or tulnic that is of similar size and sound but played mostly in overtone. I play with friends when we meet or travel in nature or sometimes at night in parks because something like this is not a common thing here and people enjoy it so much.We meditate playing different instruments beside the didge (i am the only one in my group with didj) like drums vibrafone jew's harp flutes and kalimba and with the sound vibration and meditation healing comes to be. |
Crid Jack from France |
Meditation |
Because I am learning the ways of sound healing with the didgeridoo but until I have enough knowledge on that subject I enjoy meditating whilst and after playing the didgeridoo in a place where there are lots of trees insects and where I can be in peace. I would like to make the most of this section to thank you for all the wonderful information you give on this internet site! |

I believe that bringing the Didgeridoo to the "virgin" ears of America is something I need and am meant to do. I want to share a culture I am only beginning to understand because it is such a vast culture. Through passing on part of the Aboriginal culture I hope to learn more and become enlightened on the subject. I want to make people realize that a beautiful thing has been created in Australia and we need to preserve it by learning everything we can about the Aboriginal culture and giving back to them as best we can. |

The pure joy of playing for a long uninterrupted time applying as many variations and vocalizations as I can manage without breaking the stream of circular breathing is similar but better than a nice long uninterrupted racquetball or ping pong volley. A nice workout and a nice sense of accomplishment when competing with myself for increased length of playing; smoothness of circular breaths and variety of vocalizations. |
